My InterpretationTo me, the song is saying that it's good to be aware of all of the bad things in the world, and the trials and tribulations that one might have to go through, but to not focus on them, and instead focus on the good aspects of life.
"It's a Wonderful World" same type of song /… The message was Clear for Johnny Nash after that, after seeing these people in abject poverty so happy with their God and Jamaican Music! Which made the British Top 40 with 'Wonderful World' in 1967 and recorded in 1969! /… This is after he'd first heard Jimmy's Record. Ja and smokin da kind in worship of the all mighty. Seeing the poverty he saw that was worse than he'd ever experienced, they say it changed him seeing and hearing these very poor people so happy with their God. But Jonny Nash was typical American before his journey to Jamaica. Mon Rastafarian Reggae Jamaican Music became his new Religion!!!. that we had Fabulous Five and Jimmy Cliff doing Ja. since this is well before Bob Marley made Reggae/Ska really famous. Which was written after his exposure to Real Rastafarian Religious Music that influenced this song and the album's production with Cliff Producing! But it was his visit to Jamaica that cemented the title of this epic song. who would later cover this song had his first real hit in UK called "It's a Wonderful World". His first Gold Record Album was produced in UK with now World Famous Fabulous Five as Backup Band. but this was written in the 60's after he'd made a trip to Jamaica.
